Mountains For All CIC

Helping People Who Can Not Access the Country Side and Mountains with Our 360° Nature Experiences

Welcome to Access360

A Mountains For All CIC project made possible through

funding from Sport England.

Access360 has been created to help people with disabilities, long-term health conditions, reduced mobility, neurodiverse conditions, anxiety, or anyone who would benefit from extra support, enjoy the outdoors with greater confidence.

Through Access360 we'll be taking over 500 people on accessible guided walks across Yorkshire and the Lake District while working together to create over 100 immersive 360° walkthroughs that will be published free on TrailPath360.

Together we're helping make the outdoors more accessible for everyone.

Why We Created Access360

For many people, planning a walk can feel overwhelming.

Questions such as:

  • Is the path suitable?

  • Will there be accessible parking?

  • Are there accessible toilets?

  • Will I manage the distance?

  • Is the terrain suitable for my mobility needs?

  • What if I get halfway and can't continue?

These are genuine concerns that stop many people from enjoying places they would otherwise love to visit.

Access360 has been created to remove as many of these barriers as possible by combining supported group walks with detailed 360° virtual walkthroughs that allow people to explore a route before they travel.

Our aim is simple:

To help more people enjoy the outdoors safely, confidently and independently.

What is Access360?

Access360 is a free programme of accessible guided walks delivered by Mountains For All CIC.

During the project we'll support more than 500 participants on accessible walking routes across Yorkshire and the Lake District.

Every walk is designed to be welcoming, relaxed and enjoyable, allowing everyone to take part at a pace that suits them.

Unlike traditional walking projects, participants don't just join a walk—they help create something that will benefit thousands of other people.

Together we'll record accessibility information and create over 100 professional 360° walkthroughs that will be published free on TrailPath360.

These immersive guides will help future visitors understand exactly what to expect before leaving home, reducing anxiety and building confidence to explore new places.

Finding the Right Walk for You

Everyone's accessibility needs are different.

That's why we don't simply organise walks—we work with you to help find routes that suit your individual needs and confidence levels.

When registering your interest, you can tell us about:

  • The type of walks you'd enjoy.

  • How far you feel comfortable walking.

  • Whether you use a wheelchair, mobility scooter, walking frame or walking poles.

  • Whether you require accessible toilets or Changing Places facilities.

  • Whether you need Blue Badge parking.

  • Whether you'd like information about Tramper hire.

  • Any medical conditions or accessibility requirements you'd like us to know about.

The more information you provide, the easier it is for us to organise welcoming walking groups where everyone feels comfortable and supported.

Our 360° Walkthroughs

Every walk completed through Access360 helps build a permanent digital library of accessible routes.

Our professional 360° walkthroughs allow people to explore a route before they visit.

Where possible, every walkthrough will include information about:

  • Parking

  • Blue Badge parking

  • Accessible toilets

  • Visitor centres

  • Cafés

  • Path surfaces

  • Gates

  • Bridges

  • Seating and rest areas

  • Gradients

  • Terrain

  • Accessible viewpoints

  • Points of interest

Every walkthrough will be published free on TrailPath360, helping thousands of people plan future adventures with greater confidence.

Working Together

Access360 is about much more than walking.

It's about bringing people together to create a resource that will help others enjoy the outdoors.

Every participant helps improve the accessibility information we provide by sharing their own experiences and feedback.

Together we're building one of the UK's largest collections of accessible 360° countryside walkthroughs.

Privacy & Photography

Creating a welcoming and respectful environment is extremely important to us.

Many participants live with disabilities, long-term health conditions or anxiety, and we understand that not everyone wishes to appear in photographs or videos.

We kindly ask everyone to respect each other's privacy and not take or share photographs or videos of other participants without their permission.

During Access360 our team will create 360° walkthroughs of each route.

Every effort will be made to ensure participants are not identifiable within these walkthroughs unless they have given their explicit consent.

If photographs or videos are taken for promotional purposes, we will always ask permission before using images where individuals can be identified.

Helping Us Improve Access360

Access360 is also a research project.

Throughout the project we'll ask participants to complete short questionnaires before, during and after taking part.

These help us understand:

  • Whether confidence has increased.

  • Whether anxiety about visiting new places has reduced.

  • Whether participants continue exploring outdoors after joining us.

  • How useful the 360° walkthroughs were.

  • What improvements we can make in the future.

At the end of the project we may also contact participants using the details they have provided to invite them to complete a short follow-up questionnaire.

This helps us understand the long-term impact Access360 has had on confidence, wellbeing and outdoor participation.

Taking part is entirely voluntary, but every response helps us improve future projects and demonstrate the positive impact of Access360.

Your personal information will always be treated confidentially and will never be shared without your permission.

Thank You

Mountains For All CIC would like to thank Sport England for supporting Access360 and helping more people enjoy the outdoors with confidence.
